Lion in the Long Grass
By Ruth Brown.
Description
A lioness hides her cub in the long grass while she goes hunting. But the tall grasses are a dangerously insufficient defense against a circling pack of jackals, and an old male lion feels honor-bound to step in to do some babysitting. When Old Lion is challenged by a younger male, he uses the last ounce of his failing energy to ensure the young cub remains safe. - from Amzon
